From Damascus to the Uilenpad

Alaaeddin and Louay learned the trade in Damascus. They then worked in Beirut and Dubai before coming to the Netherlands.

Here they taught for years at a private barber school, where they trained hundreds of students. They also took part in the Barber Battle, a competition where barbers from all over the country show what they can do in technique, speed and creativity. They won several prizes there.

On the Uilenpad in Bilthoven it all comes together: a barbershop for men and kids, and with colleagues also a place for women and nails. A shop you walk into for a good haircut and leave feeling that someone really listened to you.
